If you visit in spring, the cherry blossom park is worth a visit. You can take a tour bus, but I think with kids you will enjoy it more if you just go on your own. Our family of 4 will be there in June for about days. Zaanse Schans is a wonderful day trip from Amsterdam where you can experience quintessentially Dutch things like windmills and wooden clogs.
It also includes a lot and is a good value if you plan to visit many museums, where Mozart once played. I have no idea though how difficult it is to get to Giethoorn best cities in the netherlands public transport from Amsterdam and how long it takes. Bavo church, etc.
